About Jonathan Edwards
Aside from being able to boast that he’s worked with clients such as The Guardian, Glastonbury, Penguin Books and having helped design a window on Oxford Street as part of Selfridges’ Christmas display with his partner Louise, Jonathan is also a lovely man. If you are fans of the Super Furry Animals frontman, Gruff Rhys, you will have also seen Louise’s work in creating the John Evans puppet for the American Interior record.
Hailing from North Wales, his work spans portraits to vinyl figures, comics to landscapes both near and far. His Welsh landscapes are a firm favourite in this house and we have two that take pride of place on our walls; one of Llanddwyn Island and another of Tryfan.
Jonathan also created a series of illustrations based on Welsh myths for a Visit Wales campaign. All of the above, and more, are available to buy from his site and at £20 each are an affordable way to commemorate a trip out to one of these spots or bring the Welsh outdoors into your home.
